Niko Nissimov, a star jazz musician in pre war Bulgaria, finds himself caught on board a train bound for Treblinka. The high commander of the transport, is an old foe of Niko from their common high school days. He enjoys NIko’s desperate situation and does not intend to free him or to let him survive. Niko’s brother, luckily obtains information of his brother’s deportation and hi mobilizes Niko’s non-Jewish band members to try and save him from the transport.
